Monica Post, Director of MPR Museum Consulting has worked in the museum
business for over 22 years. Her career includes many years in the
education departments of three zoos. She served as the Director of the
Iowa Learning Center for the Science Center of Iowa, a position that
bridged the formal education community to the informal education
community.
Monica continues to serve on many formal and informal
education committees reviewing and presenting grants and awards for
exhibits and individuals. Monica has been a reviewer and co-workshop
presenter for the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and
has a very successful track record on IMLS grant submissions on which
she collaborated.
Monica learned exhibit evaluation from Beverly
Serrell, a well-known museum consultant who "wrote the book" on visitor
studies. During her tenure with Serrell & Associates, Monica worked
on projects for the Brookfield Zoo, Chicago Parks District, Liberty
Science Center and Shedd Aquarium.
